Andriy Byelka,

Andriy Byelka is a dual-qualified lawyer and legal strategist with over 20 years of experience advising international clients on complex, multijurisdictional matters. His career began in Ukraine, where he held a senior position in the legal department of a major European insurance group. He later relocated to the UK and qualified as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales, gaining experience at top-tier international law firms. There, he advised high-net-worth individuals, multinational corporations, and in-house legal teams on high-value contracts, cross-border litigation, and international transactions.
As the founder of LegalUp, Andriy combines legal precision with commercial acumen and international perspective. Holding degrees in law and economics from leading Ukrainian and Swedish institutions, as well as an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge, he brings business insight to every matter. Fluent in English, Ukrainian, and Russian, he is known for solving complex legal challenges across borders with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, Andriy is a committed sports enthusiast who has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, completed Ironman UK, and taken part in endurance open-water swimming races across continents.

Katarina Byelka,

Katarina Byelka is a dual-qualified lawyer with over a decade of experience in international dispute resolution. Before joining LegalUp, she worked at leading global law firms in London, specialising in high-stakes investor-State and commercial arbitration. Her practice spans civil and common law systems, with a strong focus on investment treaty and international commercial disputes. Katarina’s clients have included States, sovereign entities, and major multinational companies engaged in complex, cross-border conflicts.
Fluent in English, Slovak, Czech, Polish, and Spanish — and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb) — Katarina is active in the global arbitration community. She regularly speaks at international arbitration conferences, contributes to legal publications, and lectures on arbitration at respected academic institutions. Her thoughtful, analytical approach and broad international perspective make her a valuable resource not only for clients, but also for collaborators seeking strategic guidance in arbitration matters.

Niko Mikadze,
Associate
Niko Miqadze is a Associate at LegalUp with a strong background in both in-house and law firm environments. Prior to joining LegalUp, he worked in the Legal Department at Japan Tobacco International (JTI), supporting operations across multiple jurisdictions. His experience includes corporate law, contract negotiation, cross-border compliance, and regulatory advisory.
Niko has also worked in a private law firm, where he gained hands-on experience in litigation support, legal drafting, and client communication. He is fluent in English, Georgian, and Russian and regularly works with multilingual legal documentation. His diverse legal background allows him to provide clear, business-oriented solutions in complex legal environments.
