History

The firm was officially founded in 2017, but its roots go much deeper. Before launching LegalUp, our founder spent nearly a decade practising law in Ukraine, where he qualified and built his early career. That journey continued in the UK, where he worked with major firms and international institutions, often managing high-value, cross-border contracts and relationships. From the start, LegalUp was driven by a commitment to clear thinking, strong delivery, and practical results.

In the early years, LegalUp was a lean, highly personal service. Clients often dealt directly with the founder — and that meant fast communication, deep commitment, and a tailored strategy every time. Over time, the firm’s reputation grew. We began advising not just business owners and entrepreneurs, but also international law firms and legal departments who trusted us with high-stakes support and delivery.

We’ve helped clients navigate multimillion-pound disputes, guided cross-border investments, assisted in large-scale commercial negotiations, and supported restructurings and tax planning strategies. In many of these matters, our role extended beyond legal advice: we coordinated expert teams, managed external service providers, and remained fully accountable for delivering results.

As our practice expanded, so did our services. What began as a commercial law firm quickly grew to include tax optimisation, accounting support, and operational advice. Today, our clients come to us not just to resolve legal issues, but to improve how their businesses function — from structure and compliance to everyday decision-making.
